Medical Weight Management

Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain your healthiest weight. We will take all aspects of your physical, mental and emotional health into consideration in order to attain optimal, long lasting results. Education, healthy lifestyle and personal responsibility each play a role in your success.
One of the most important aspects of our program is the medical setting. Our physician will continuously monitor your health. In additional, our nutrition staff will teach you important behavior modification skills for long-term results. Physical activity will be tailored to your medical needs and lifestyle. Medications, both pharmaceutical and natural, are available based on your individual circumstances.
We perform laboratory tests to assess your heart, liver, and kidney function, as well as cholesterol and blood sugar levels. We also evaluate your thyroid hormone. Your percent body fat, lean muscle mass, hydration and metabolic rate will be assessed and monitored throughout the program. Your first visit will include a physical exam by our physician.
Our services include weekly weigh-ins and visits with our nutrition staff, as well as periodic visits with the doctor. During these visits, we will discuss all issues associated with your weight: medical, behavioral, emotional and environmental. During your fourth week of the program, you will begin attending our weekly weight loss classes.
Our two main weight loss programs are outlined below:
LOW CALORIE DIET (LCD)
The LCD Program includes:
- 5 or more nutritionally balanced meal replacements a day
- Weekly medical supervision during the first month and once a month thereafter
- Weekly class or dietitian/nutritionist visit (Additional cost for individual appointments)
- Weekly medical check-in
- Monthly lab work
- Monthly body composition analysis
HEALTHY SOLUTIONS
The HS solutions program includes:
- 2 or more nutritionally balancd meal replacements, 2 entrees, 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day
- Weekly medical supervision during the first month and once a month thereafter
- Weekly class or dietitian/nutritionist visit (Additional cost for individual appontments)
- Weekly medical check-in
- Quarterly lab work
- Monthly body composition analysis
During the first three weeks you will meet individually with the physician and a dietitian/nutritionist to establish you in the program. The fourth week you will be enrolled in the educational classes. During your weekly visits you will receive information from our dietitian/nutritionist to guide you toward permanent lifestyle changes, as well as physician supervision and monitoring of appetite control.
Class attendance is part of the program and starts the fourth week. Classes assist in guiding you toward a healthier lifestyle. The classes are small and informative with sharing of issues by all in the group. Meeting with the dietitian or with the nutritionist individually is available, for an additional fee.
Weight maintenance can often be the most challenging aspect of your weight management journey. This journey does not end with the achievement of goal weight. Our Maintenance Program is designed to protect the weight you have lost and continue the momentum into the maintenance phase. Special classes are designed to address issues surrounding your reintroduction into the world of food.
